    13. EUREKA/CELTIC IMPULSE (Integrated Multimodal Platform for Ubiquitous Multimedia Service Execution). Development of telecommunication applications and services. Development of middleware platform for the ubiquitous provision of multimedia services over highly heterogeneous network and terminal infrastructures.
    14. EUREKA/CELTIC WIN-HPN (Wireless INtelligent – Hospital Premises Network). Development of telecommunication applications and services. Design, development, integration and validation of the necessary system components towards the next generation wireless, context–aware, intelligent and multimodal hospital premises networks and equipment. The WIN-HPN system senses information from the environment, in order to perceive and reason on the context of use. Contextual information is then used to automatically adapt the behaviour of health-care services.
    15. IST ACE (Antenna Center of Excellence). Network of Excellence. Research on the introduction of smart antennas in high-speed, wireless-access, infrastructures. Network segments and terminals capable of selecting the optimal technologies for handling service area requirements.
